Hi y'all !

Visa and summer camp

This monday and Tuesday, I've been to Paris in order to have my J1 visa done for my travel to the USA this summer. I had an appointment at the US embassy in Paris (located near the Concorde place and the Champs Elysées) on early tuesday morning. It all went fine, except that there was a train (RER) blocked in the middle of Paris, so my train was much slower than it whould have been and it took me more than one hour to get to Paris (it should have taken me only 30 minutes), so I was 20 minutes late !!! I was so anxious that they would kick me out !! But it all went fine, much faster than I though it would be, and I now have my visa !! I'm soo happy !!! Now, I've got the main papers done. USA, here I come, in less than 2 months !!! whoohoo, I'm so excited !! :)

I will work in a summer camp, Camp Foss, in New Hampshire (isn't that amazing ?). Here's the website : http://www.campfoss.org/ People seem so nice out there ! My friends keep telling me that I'm really lucky to work out there , ..................... and I admit it's true. I hope it's going to be an amazing experience, I'll try to have as much fun as possible :)

Lundi et mardi dernier, je suis allée à Paris pour me faire faire mon visa J1 pour mon voyage aux Etats-Unis cet été. J'avais rendez-vous à l'ambassade des USA à Paris (près de la place de la Concorde et des Champs Elysées) tôt mardi matin. Tout s'est bien passé, à part qu'il y avait un RER A bloqué en plein Paris, d'où perturbation du trafic, et j'ai mis deux fois plus de temps que prévu à arriver à Paris, donc je suis arrivée avec 20 minutes de retard !!! J'ai trop stressé, j'avais peur qu'ils ne me fassent pâs entrer, mais tout s'est bien passé en fait, bien plus rapidement que je m'étais imaginé, et maintenant, j'ai mon visa !!! Je suis trop contente !!! Maintenant, j'ai tous les papiers nécessaires. Attention, les USA, j'arrive dans moins de deux mois !!! Whoohoo, j'suis trop contente !! :)

Je vais travailler dans un camp, Camp Foss, dans le New Hampshire (c'est pas génial ?). Voilà le site web : http://www.campfoss.org/ Les gens de l'équipe ont vraiment l'air super sympas ! On ne fait que de me répéter que j'ai de la chance de faire ce projet .................. et je suis d'accord, croyez-moi, j'en ai conscience. J'espère que ce sera une magnifique expérience, je compte bien m'amuser autant que possible :)

A little song / Une petite chanson

I was inspired today : I was playing one of my songs ("Without You" > I know, it doesn't sound new at all) on the piano, and then, I just played music like that, and I liked one or two parts of what I was playing, and I was inspired to write a new song ! It's now complete (lyrics and melody), and it's called : "The process" (it's in English). I like it ! There are moments like that, when a song just comes to you, and you weren't even looking for it, it's great. I love it when it does that :) I'm getting better at soongwriting now ...

Aujourd'hui, j'ai été inspirée : j'étais en train de jouer une des chansons que j'ai écrites ("Without You" > je sais, ça paraît pas trop original) au piano, et puis j'ai improvisé comme ça, et il y a une ou deux phrases musicales qui m'ont accroché, et à partir de ça, j'ai été inspirée pour écrire une nouvelle chanson ! Elle est finie (parole et mélodie) et s'intitule "The Process" (eh oui, c'est en anglais). Je l'aime bien ! Il y a des moments comme ça, où une chanson déboule toute seules, sans prévenir, quand on ne la cherchait pas, c'est génial. J'adore que ça fait ça :) J'ai fait quelques progrès dans l'écriture de chansons maintenant ...

Freefall again and always ;)

Okay guys, Freefall's EP really rocks, I swear ! So, if ever you would like to buy it, you can purchase it on Freefall's website if you live in the USA ( http://www.freefall.name), or on http://cdbaby.com/cd/freefallband if you live outside the USA. As the more we buy them together, the cheaper it gets, I'm planning to buy many at once and then give them to those who want. It would save them money, as the EP would cost them about 5 or 6 euros instead of 9-10 euros, shipping and handling included.

Freefall :)

Today (April 28th, 2005), I received the Freefall EP !! Now, I just keep listenning to it over and over :)

Freefall is a band from Harvard University, in Cambridge, Massachussetts, USA. Those 5 guys (Kevin, Sam, Burak, Steve and Nat) rock. Their music is real good, their songs are catchy and great. Aujourd'hui (le 28 avril 2005), j'ai reçu le CD de démo de Freefall !! Depuis, je l'écoute en boucle, je le connais déjà par coeur :)
